Most agency websites have more visitors than they have leads. The gap is not a traffic problem. It is an engagement problem: visitors arrive, look at what you have built, and leave without identifying themselves because nothing on the page gives them a compelling reason to do so at the right moment.
F! Insights closes that gap. It is a self-hosted WordPress plugin that runs live Google Business Profile scans on your site and captures lead data at the moment a visitor engages with their own business data.

The Gap Between Traffic and Leads
A visitor who arrives on your site and leaves without identifying themselves is not a lead. The standard fix is a contact form or a discovery call CTA. Both of these ask the visitor to make a decision to engage before you have given them a specific reason to trust you. For most visitors, that ask comes too early. They leave.

An embedded scanner gives visitors something to do that requires no commitment: enter a business name and see what comes back. The act of running the scan is the engagement. The contact information comes after they have seen their own data.
How F! Insights Closes It
When a visitor enters a business name into the F! Insights scanner, the plugin queries the Google Places API, identifies the business, pulls its full GBP data, and runs a PageSpeed audit. Claude analyzes all of that and generates a scored report across eight categories in under 90 seconds.
The visitor sees their overall score, category scores, a comparison against up to three named nearby competitors, specific gaps in their GBP profile, and prioritized recommendations. The competitor comparison is the element that makes the report stick.
On the premium tier, the lead capture form appears immediately after the report. The visitor’s record lands in your WordPress pipeline dashboard.
Setting Up Automatic Lead Capture
- Download F! Insights and install it on your WordPress site. The premium tier activates the lead capture pipeline.
- Go to F! Insights, then Settings, then API Config. Enter your Google Places API key and your Anthropic API key.
- Create a dedicated WordPress page for the scanner with a specific headline and the shortcode:
f_insights. - Link to the scanner from your main navigation so every page on your site has a path to it.

What “Automatically” Actually Means
The lead capture is automatic in the sense that it requires no action from you between the moment a visitor runs a scan and the moment their record appears in your pipeline dashboard. What is not automatic: the follow-up. The pipeline record gives you everything you need to send a highly specific first message. But sending that message is still your job.
Managing the Pipeline
Your F! Insights pipeline dashboard shows every lead who has submitted their contact information, sorted by scan date. Each record includes the business name and location, overall score and category breakdown, the named competitor from their scan, and the specific categories where they scored lowest. For the follow-up sequence that converts these leads, see How to Follow Up After a Free SEO Audit Request.
Driving Traffic to the Scanner

| Email signature link | Immediate and ongoing | Every email you send from this point forward includes a path to the scanner |
| Blog posts linking to the scanner | Weeks to months | Contextual links from relevant posts compound over time |
| LinkedIn posts about scan findings | Days to weeks | Post about a specific scan result; link to the scanner for readers to check their own business |
| Referral partners | Weeks to months | Web designers, accountants, and business coaches can refer clients |
