See Exactly Where Your Clients Show Up in 'Near Me' Searches.
The Geogrid map shows rankings across a geographic grid — not just ‘position 3’ but position 3 here and position 9 two blocks over. The Near Me Visibility score breaks down the five pillars that drive map pack presence.

Where the ranking gaps are
Geogrid ranking map
A grid of position markers overlaid on the client’s service area. Each node shows their map pack rank at that location. Strong in the center, weak at the edges — you see exactly where to focus.
5-pillar Near Me score
Proximity signals, prominence, category relevance, review velocity, and profile completeness — scored individually. The overall score tells you where to start; the pillar breakdown tells you why.
Competitor grid overlay
See where a named competitor outranks your client on the same grid. Not just ‘they rank higher’ — where specifically, and by how many positions.
Gap-specific recommendations
Low proximity score? The profile optimizer flags the specific profile elements that affect proximity signals. Recommendations are tied to actual gaps, not generic checklists.
Tracks over time
Run the Geogrid on a recurring basis. Historical snapshots show whether visibility is expanding or contracting — and whether recent GBP changes made a difference.
Client-facing view
The Geogrid output is readable without a local SEO background. Show it in a client call to explain why their ranking varies by neighborhood. It’s a clearer conversation than ‘you’re position 4 for your primary keyword.’
Reading the map, applying the fix
- Select the client and keywordOpen the client record, go to the Near Me tab, enter the target search term and define the grid size and spacing.
- Run the GeogridF! Insights queries the Google API at each grid point and returns the map pack position for the client at that location. Runs in the background.
- Read the mapDarker/higher nodes = strong visibility. Lighter/lower nodes = gaps. The geographic pattern tells you whether it's a proximity problem, a profile problem, or a competitor dominance problem.
- Review the 5-pillar scoreEach pillar score tells you the underlying cause. Low review velocity? Tie it to the review template and cadence tools. Weak profile completeness? Run the optimizer.
- Apply the fixesCross-reference the gap with the profile optimizer and post cadence tools. Run the Geogrid again after 30 days to measure movement.
- Show the clientUse the before/after grid comparison in client calls. Geographic visibility change is concrete — easier to communicate value than rank movement on a single keyword.
What it doesn't replace. The Geogrid shows map pack position — it doesn't explain every ranking factor or guarantee movement after changes. Google's local algorithm has hundreds of inputs; the 5-pillar score surfaces the ones most directly tied to profile and proximity signals. Organic ranking data (non-map-pack) is in the separate Rankings tab in the client management dashboard. Citation building is not covered — you'll need a dedicated tool for that.

How often should I run the Geogrid?
Monthly is typical for active clients. More frequently if you’ve made profile changes and want to track movement. Each run uses Google API calls — frequency is limited by your API quota.
What grid sizes are available?
Grid size and point spacing are configurable. Smaller grids give denser local detail; larger grids show regional coverage. Typical setups are 5×5 or 7×7 grids with 0.5–1 mile spacing.
Does it track map pack or all organic results?
The Geogrid tracks map pack (local 3-pack) positions. Organic positions are tracked separately in the Rankings tab within each client’s dashboard.
Can I compare against a specific competitor?
Yes. Enter the competitor’s GBP listing and the overlay shows their grid position at each node alongside your client’s.
