Getting set up

  1. Install on your WordPress siteUpload the plugin zip. Activate. F! Insights adds itself to your WordPress dashboard — no external setup wizard, no onboarding call.
  2. Connect your API keysAdd your Google API key and Anthropic API key in the settings panel. Both connect directly — no relay through F! Insights servers.
  3. Configure your agency profileSet your agency name, logo, and white-label settings. Everything output by the plugin carries your brand.
  4. Add clientsCreate client records and link their GBP listings. All management tools scope to each client individually.
  5. Run operationsScan prospects, generate pitches, manage GBP, bill clients — all from your WordPress admin. All data stays on your server.

What this requires from you. Self-hosting means you manage the infrastructure. You need a WordPress hosting environment, your own Google and Anthropic API billing accounts, and basic comfort with WordPress plugin installation. F! Insights doesn't manage your server, handle your API costs, or provide hosting support. If you'd rather not manage API keys, a fully managed SaaS like BrightLocal is a more appropriate fit.

What hosting do I need?
Any WordPress hosting that supports plugin installation — shared, VPS, or managed WordPress (WP Engine, Kinsta, etc.). The plugin has no unusual server requirements beyond standard PHP/MySQL.
Are there API costs on top of $300/mo?
Yes — Google Places API and Anthropic API usage is billed to your own accounts separately. Costs depend on your scan volume and AI usage. Most agencies run well within Google’s free tier for moderate scan volumes.
Does F! Insights ever access my data?
No. The plugin code runs on your server. API calls go directly from your server to Google and Anthropic. F! Insights (the company) has no connection to your installation once you download the plugin.
Can I run multiple agency installs?
One license covers one WordPress installation. If you run multiple WordPress sites, each needs its own license.
